What is a FAM Trip?

The New Smyrna Beach Area Visitors Bureau will invite domestic and international tour operators, airline agents, AAA, meeting planner and corporate executives for buyer education trips (BETs), and travel agents to our area to educate and showcase our destination for our top leisure feeder markets. To put these on, we will need rooms, meals, and activities on a complimentary basis/in-kind donation*.

What do you get? A chance to be written up in domestic and/or international publications, and the opportunity to have travel agents stay and explore our area and sell your property.

Choose the Dates

*Note: An email with an in-kind form will be sent to properties of interest for the visiting FAM. Should no one respond, one last attempt is made and anyone that can host via in-kind will be chosen. Upon certain circumstances, media rate will be used.

We currently have the following FAM trips scheduled to the area:

• A UK FAM with journalists in December 2018
• A pre-Huddle UK Tour Operator FAM in January 2019
• A post-Huddle German FAM – date TBD
• An Outdoor Writers FAM – September 2019
